Kollmorgen Essentials servo motors deliver exceptional performance and versatility across eight power ranges from 200 to 4,000 watts and frame sizes from 58 to 138 mm. Each motor features our breakthrough SFD-M multi-turn absolute feedback device with energy-harvesting technology that eliminates battery backup requirements while providing positioning performance comparable to Hiperface and EnDat systems. With industry-standard IEC mounting, an innovative shaft key kit for maximum installation flexibility, and plug-and-play compatibility, these motors are engineered to reduce complexity, inventory costs, and setup time while delivering the reliability and performance your applications demand.

Kollmorgen Essentials servo motors suit a wide range of needs, eliminating the need for designers to stock specific excess inventory.
- Choose from eight power ranges from 200 to 4,000 watts and frame sizes from 58 to 138 mm
- Windings rated for 120, 240, 400 or 480 VAC
- 3,000 rpm rated speed, with a maximum speed of 6,000 rpm
- Option for integrated 24 VDC brake
- Industry-standard mounting reduces the need for excess inventory and improves field flexibility
- With a simple shaft key kit, users can adapt the shaft configuration to any smooth or keyed shaft coupling type—ready, off-the-shelf, for any application
SFD-M
With the integrated SFD-M device providing multi-turn absolute feedback to the highly responsive drive, customers can expect positioning performance comparable to Hiperface® or EnDat® feedback—without added cost.
- Single-turn resolution of 24 bits and multi-turn resolution of 16 bits
- Energy-harvesting technology eliminates the need for battery backup cables, which eliminates costly setbacks from unplanned downtime due to battery failure, retaining absolute positioning information even when the system is powered down or during a power outage or shutdown
- Onboard memory enables plug-and-play parameterization of the motor to compatible Kollmorgen drives reducing setup time and enabling faster commissioning
