MCD8 and MCD8 HS

MCD8 and MCD8 HS are hand-helded manual control devices for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). The controls are easy to use and provide good ergonomics, handling/controlling steering, driving, and load handling. Useful when commissioning the system and for exception handling.

The MCD8 version is used for applications with moderate movement speeds and fulfills the requirements of AGV safety standard EN-1525.

The MCD8 HS version is recommended for the new AGV safety standard ISO 3691-4 applications, and where manual control operations are more hazardous than normal (i.e. large trucks and trucks with hazardous load handling movements). It is also recommended where local authorities (or customers) demand a 3-position dead mans switch on the manual control device.
