KAS Modbus Configuration Demo for 3rd Party HMIs (with Video)

When using Kollmorgen HMIs with KAS Controllers, modbus addressing is done automatically to save programming time and ensure everything is mapped correctly.  When using third party HMIs or other Modbus devices, can use our separate Fieldbus configuration tool to setup addresses.  This allows users to reuse previously written HMI projects and not change modbus addresses, or communicate with devices that have premapped tags in certain address ranges.

Attached is a demo project showing how to setup addresses in the Fieldbus editor of the project explorer.  Have to first select "Other Modbus devices" in the modbus configuration section of the Controller properties menu (where the KAS controller IP address is entered), then you can use the Fieldbus editor to setup modbus addresses.  This project has both boolean (coil bits) and real/integer (holding registers) variables assigned addresses, and a KVB project as an example of what addressing would have to be done for the modbus master device.
