KAS FFLD Ladder Programming Editor

Below are three embedded videos showing different features of the FFLD or Free Form Ladder Diagram editor in the KAS IDE software that can be used to write PLC code.

The first video shows shows how you can organize your code into separate networks, different options to add comments to your code, and how to add the different types of contacts and coils available.

The second video covers adding function blocks and filling out their inputs and outputs within the ladder editor. The video also covers how to drag and drop items or sections of code after they have been placed, as well as the difference between functions and function blocks and how to use the watch window to monitor outputs even if you did not assign variables or coils to them.

The last video in the series introducing the FFLD editor shows how to add jumps, as well as covering what makes the ladder editor "Free Form" by adding structured text based code to add larger boolean statements into contacts, and mathematical equations inside inputs to function blocks.
