General
The "Programmable Drive System" consists of a
- AKD PDMM Drive with customized programming installed,
- the Ethercat connection to
- slave AKD Drive servoamplifiers and the KAS Input and Output Terminals,
- Motor cables and Feedback Cables along with the required Servomotors.
Kollmorgen customer service and application technicians support the customer during the entire development and design phase as well as the on-site installation phase, in order to ensure that all requirements are fulfilled from design through to production.

Customized automation solution
- A Kollmorgen customer consultant analyzes the need and the targets
- The solution for the application is programmed with the integrated development environment KAS Development Tools.
- The application created is executed on the AKD PDMM Drive.
- KAS Operator Panels are connected with the AKD PDMM Drive via the Modbus TCP
- The AKD PDMM Drive communicates with our slave Servo Amplifiers and KAS Input and Output Terminals via EtherCAT.
- Kollmorgen Servo Amplifiers can drive a wide range of Servomotors with or without Gearheads, Induction Machines, DC Motors, and Direct Drives.
- We also offer all Accessories required for servo amplifiers and motors.
