Diode test for Checking AKD Output Stage (X2 Connector / Power to Motor Phases)
Using ohm-meter or diode-meter:
Positive (+) lead goes to DC+ (X3 pin 3), negative (-) lead goes to U, V, W (X2 pins 4,5,6).
Expected results are an open/high resistance (MOhm) reading.
Negative (-) lead goes to DC+ (X3 pin 3), positive (+) lead goes to U, V, W (X2 pins 4,5,6).
Expected results are a low resistance/possibly short circuit reading.
Positive (+) lead goes to DC- (X3 pin 2), negative (-) lead goes to U, V, W (X2 pins 4,5,6).
Expected results are a low resistance/possibly short circuit reading.
Negative (-) lead goes to DC- (X3 pin 2), positive (+) lead goes to U, V, W (X2 pins 4,5,6).
Expected results are an open/high resistance (MOhm) reading.
If you obtain results other than those indicated, check your wiring. Or the power stage has a failed component.
