LDO Version Numbers
This article refers to G&L PiC application note AN000024 and describes how LDO version numbers are used.
Each .LDO file created in PiCPro is saved with a file format version number. The version number can be determined by typing the .LDO filename at the DOS prompt (e.g. TYPE FILENAME.LDO). This version number does not change every time a new version of PiCPro is released.
When you open a module in PiCPro, if the file format version number in the PiCPro you are using is newer than the file format the .LDO was last saved with, PiCPro will ask you to save the .LDO even though you have not made any changes to it. If the format version number of an .LDO is higher than the format in the PiCPro you are using, an error message will appear and you will not be able to open the file.
The following table illustrates the .LDO file format version number as compared to the PiCPro version.
