Screw driver functionality S400 S600

Valid for S400, S600

Operation

Up to 8 different speed/torque values pairs can be stored to the flash, that can be called bit coded with 3 inputs. If only two or four value pairs are needed, the vacant inputs can be used for other tasks. In addition a start input, which starts the value pair that was been coded by  the bit information, must be configured. If input "1" is the start input, then always the currently selected  value pair is carried out. In this way the value pairs can be swtched over without restarting.

Setup

Description of the ASCII command VCTAB

This command defines and monitors the VC table (Velocity / Current table). The VC table contains 8 speed/current couples (VCT entries). A VCT entry can be activated over the digital entrances or ASCII command or SDO command .

If a VCT entry is activated, then the speed value contained in the entry is used as a digital speed set point (only possible at OPMODE = 0). The current value from the VCT entry is used as a current limitation.

At analog speed specifications (OPMODE = 1) the speed set point is ignored, the current value is, however, used for the current limitation furthermore.

The VC table is not stored in the serial EEPROM but in the flash EEPROM (motion task segment). For this reason the changes of the table entries are possible only at disabled power stages.

The command VCTAB can be used in 3 different ways:

VCTAB nr vsoll ilimit
With this command the VCT entry "nr" is initialized with the speed set point "vsoll" and the current limit "ilimit".

  • nr <0...7>
  • vsoll <-16000 rpm...16000 rpm>
  • ilimit <0....100000 mA>

In this way the command only may used with disabled power stage.

VCTAB nr
With this command the contents of the VCT entry "nr" is distributed. The distribution is carried out in the format
VCTAB no vsoll ilimit

VCTAB
With this command the contents of the VC table is distributed via the RS232 interface. The distribution consists of 8 lines which have the following form: :
VCTAB nr vsoll ilimit

Input configuration

The corresponding functionalities can now be assigned to the digital inputs over terminal.

Input 1 Task bit 0  IN1MODE 9 (Fauftr_bit)
Input 2 Task bit 1 IN1MODE 9 (Fauftr_bit)
Input 3 Task bit 2  IN1MODE 9 (Fauftr_bit)
Input 4 Select the function INxMODE 35 (Enable the function)

If only two or four value pairs are needed, the vacant inputs can be covered with other functions.

Description of the ASCII command SETVCT

With the command SETVCT an entry of the VC table (speed set point/current limitation) can be activated. The VC table contains 8 speed/current pairs (VCT entries). If a VCT entry is activated, then the speed contained in the entry is used as a digital speed set point (only possibly at OPMODE =0). The current value from the VCT entry is used as a current limitation.

At analog speed specifications (OPMODE = 1) the speed set point is ignored, the current value is, however, used for the current limitation furthermore.

Input of the command SETVCT without additional parameters shows the number of the currently active VCT entry.
