Multidrive Communication via RS232
Valid for S400, S600
Function
For controlling several servo amplifiers, start the communication with the first amplifier via RS232 and all other amplifiers via the CAN bus. Presumption for that is, that the CAN baud rates are identical and the station addresses of the servo amplifiers are set to different numbers.

Description |
|---|---|
Sets the address of the servo amplifier |
Sets the CAN bus baudrate |
Resets the servo amplifier and reboots it for reloading the parameters out of the EEPROM. |
Counts the number of devices on the CAN bus and shows the addresses. |
Saves the setting to the EEPROM |
Example
Communication with 3 x S600. Baudrate and station address of every servo amplifier is set via RS232 separately:
ASCII Commands:
CBAUD 500
ADDR 5 (7, 8) {5 = 1. amplifier , 7 = 2. amplifier , 8 = 3. amplifier }
SAVE
COLDSTART
Connect servo amplifier 1 (address 5) via RS232 and the others via the CAN bus (Y adapter, e.g. SR6Y or SR6Y6, see Accessories Manual) for starting the multidrive communciation..
