Kollmorgen is introducing an exciting new class for Engineers who get involved with tuning complex mechanisms. Taught by our key design engineers and control specialists, this 3-Day hands on session will dive into a variety of topics related to advanced tuning and how to utilize Bode plots to recognize machine issues. Topics include:

  • Tuning with the Slider Tuner
  • Tuning Fundamentals

    • Control Theory Review
    • Tuning Feedforwards
    • Understanding Feedback types, and quantization noise
    • Review each tuning parameter on AKD

     

  • Autotuner
  • Manual Tuning
  • System Identification – learning how to pick out system traits from the bode plot

We provide:

Kollmorgen provides a class room, lunch during, qualified instructor(s), use of the trainer units, and any required workbooks or handouts.

 

You will need to bring a laptop computer.

Prerequisites:

Motion-101 and AKD Hands-on class, or equivalent experience.

Tuesday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM 

This is a full three day class.
