is a variable for use with linear motors (MOTORTYPE = 2). It defines the pole-pitch of the motor (length in millimeters of one electrical cycle, which is 360 electrical degrees, which is two adjacent magnets) and allows the drive to be able to calculate other variables such as velocity. When this variable is changed, the drive will enter a no-comp state, requiring a CONFIG command (see CONFIG).
