Trigger from a Digital Input on AKD Scope

Simple - A feature that allows you to trigger from a Digital Input on the AKD Scope.

Today there is a boolean trigger but many of the AKD parameters are not available to trigger off of.  Is there a list of available valid boolean AKD parameters that work?

Which version of Workbench are you using?

Please tell me the full Workbench version number, so I can verify what features should be available.  Are you running Workbench within the KAS software?

V.1.14.0.67808 I'm running Workbench not KAS.

The available parameters for the scope trigger can be read with REC.TRIGPRMLIST.   Trigger types 2 and 3 will use the parameter names.  Type 3 is for parameters that have an integer value.

So you are saying then you cannot trigger off a digital input then right?  Because the list is the SAME as the drop down list.  I thought maybe with the <user.defined> editable field there was something that we could do.

You can't trigger off of a digital input.  There is o way to do that without extensive FPGA and firmware development.

I came up with a workaround to triggering off a digital input in the scope functions.   Go to “position capture” window and setup the capture parameters to the source of Digital Input 1 through 7.  Then arm it.     You don’t need any mode set to the Digital I/O screen.     Set your trigger to “reads captured position.”  Arm the scope.       Whenever the digital input configured sees a rising edge the scope will trigger to record.
