Resolution in the position loop must be set precisely for linear applications or gearing with rotary appliaction to get a simple positioning with SI units.

You can setup the resolution with the setup software

  • S300/700 screen page Units/Mechanical

Three ASCII commands serve for the password protection. These parameters can be set in the terminal screen of the setup software.

We recommend to use the tool Create_Parameterfile_for_Induction_Motor.xls for basic parameterizing. In most cases a good result can be reached  with this tool.

Should the result be not sufficient, you must set the parameters described below.

For controlling several servo amplifiers, start the communication with the first amplifier via RS232 and all other amplifiers via the CAN bus. Presumption for that is, that the CAN baud rates are identical and the station addresses of the servo amplifiers are set to different numbers.

A speed set point shall be delivered digitally via a bus system. It must be possible to adjust the speed setpoint by an offset voltage with an analog input..

With varying loads coupled to the motor the parameters GV and GP can be switched over very fast by using edge control of digital input 2 and the ASCII command VAR..

The command VAR is used only in the command sequence for digital input 2 for the rising and falling edge.


During execution of VAR the parameters are set dependant on the input polarity.

Application (example)

For an auger the packaging quantity is to be adjusted by a motion task and the control is to be realized simply and user-friendly . The quantity can vary in a defined +/- range.


With a digital input the motion task is started, the motion task selection is done with a framing potentiometer due to the necessary voltage levels.
