KAS 2.12 introduces the following functions / function blocks which help with diagnosing EtherCAT network issues.

Below is a video showing the steps to create a new PLCopen axis in the KAS IDE. First you will add an axis by right clicking the PLCopen section in the Project Explorer. After giving the new axis a name, you can open a pop-up window to modify the default axis settings. First, you can select if it is a servo axis that will be mapped to an AKD drive, a virtual axis, or a digitizing axis mapped to an external encoder. Then, you can setup the user units per rev for the axis with the ratio formed between the User Units and Drive Interface Unis parameters.

You have just received new KAS installation files consist of KAS IDE installer and PxMM Controller FW. Follow the steps below to upgrade your KAS System to the newer version.

Below are step by step instructions with screenshots on how to integrate a 3rd Party EtherCAT device onto a network with a PDMM or PCMM controller using KAS IDE software. There are also two embedded videos showing how to access all of these parameters in the software. The first video shows the main three steps to integrate a 3rd party device onto the EtherCAT network including importing an ESI file, scanning the network, and mapping program variables to PDO inputs and outputs.
