Hi Dear,

We are developing a project which we use six Kollmorgen servo motors. In this project we want servo motor cables merge with connectors the get out two cable (Power cable and Encoder cable). Could you recommend us a connector that we can connect the motor cables? To find the solution we need the core and diameter of the following cables. Could you give us the core diameters and numbers of the following cables? or We demand you to offer a solution for this problem. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, Kollmorgen team.

I have question to determined cable part number for AKM vs AKD-N.

I have two part number. The one is CFENA2-002-01M00-00 and the other is CFENA1-002-01M00-00.

I found difference 1 and 2 in the website. That is a SpeedTEC or M23.

Question.)

I have standard AKM33E-ANCNAB-00 motor.

Can this motor mate both type of cable?(speedTec and M23)

Yonghee.

The following fault, error, and alarm are each indicative of possible cable or connection problems.

  • F125 on the AKD, "Fieldbus Sync frames lost."
  • E30 in KAS, "EtherCAT communication failure during operational mode."
  • A38 in KAS, "EtherCAT missed a receive frame during operational mode."

The command ECAT.DIAG can be executed in the workbench terminal to help identify the location of the problem after it occurs.

The following is an example of the output from this command.

This article describes how to remove the outer cable jacket from the AKMH motor cable and solidly clamp it to the servo drive’s grounding bracket. For more information, see the application note: AKMH Cable Modification Application Note

Kollmorgen does not offer power or feedback cables for the EKM series servomotors. Typically customer's will build their own cables for applications using the EKM motors.

The EKM motor connector part numbers are shown in the EKM Catalog (attached to this article).

The corresponding mating connectors are as follows:
