This article contains 2 videos and presents sample code for a KAS Safety application with:

  • SCU Safety PLC with SafePLC2 software (safety parameters defined with SafePLC2 software)
  • PCMM Machine/Motion Controller
  • AKD2G Servo Drive with FS3 card
  • AKT2G Remote I/O Safety modules
  • FSOE (Fail Safe Over Ethercat) based safety

The below video demonstrates how an EtherCAT network can be created with the KAS IDE software and the FSoE parameters can be automatically shared with a BBH Safety Controller. Also, Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) parameters setup in the AKD2G drive through Workbench software can be activated through the program running on the BBH safety controller.
