Operating S614 off single phase 240Vac supply | 02 Dec 2016 | |

Operating S614 off single phase 240Vac supply

I have a Servostar S614 amplifier driving a Goldline M407 motor.

Unfortunately in our new location we don't have 3phase power in the workshop at this time hence I have setup the drive to run off single phase.

It does work once I set it to only produce a warning for loss of phase, however I suspect it is limiting motor current to about 5A.

Can anyone confirm if single phase operation will be detected by the firmware and override the current limit ?

Is there anyway to work around this ? ie connect two phases together ?

Regards,

CS

The S600 drive will detect a mains phase loss and limit current to 4A rms.  There is no way to change this.

Hi jcoleman02

Thanks for clarifying this, this was what I suspected but could not find anything in writing to confirm.

I will be building a 3 phase converter in this case.

Many thanks.
