We have a project furnished by the machine builder. Recently purchased a copy of picpro with the idea of making sure the machine was backed up in case of a hardware failure. When attempting to animate the ladder the result is this message. Is there any way to tell if the logic in the mmc matches that in the project?

The error is telling you the program ( LDO, ladder on file ( PC ) and the program running in the G&L controller are not equal ( a mismatch ).

The program running in the controller is a compiled *.bin file. In order to animate the program on your PC must match what was compiled and downloaded to controller.

There is the ability to PiCPro compressed project file that is stored on your workstation or on the FMS disk on your control can be uncompressed by opening it IF the machine builder

put the compressed backup project there. This is under the File pull-down menu->Open From Control.

Since it is critical that you use the correct version in your application I recommend you work closely with your machine builder to ensure

either the file on the PC is the correct one to monitor or in the event the machine builder elects to have you compile and download to the controller it is the correct program file(s) required.

The MMC controller you have listed in Ladder program is not the same model of MMC controller you are trying to download the Ladder program to.  You will have to go in the Hardware Declaration  of Ladder program in PicPro and change the MMC controller's model to one you are using.
