F234:"High temperature limit reached" alarm occurred in AKD-M02406.

Currently, our customers have the situation that the top plate of the case removed by above alarm.

I have some question about the above alarm.

1. Does an alarm occur when the internal temperature of the AKD reaches several degrees?
2. What kind of temperature is being monitored?(ex: IPM, case, heat sink..)

I think that AKD-M02406 has a fan for air cooling control.

3. I would like to know the fan's specification.
    A. PQ characteristic,
    B. Rotation speed
    C. Air volume
    D. FAN position size
    E. FAN size(actual dimensions)
    F. etc.

The site below does not have FAN location information in AKD.

Thank you.

Also note on page 68, section 8.1 of the Installation Manual.  Ensure the back plane is not painted, so that heat can better transfer to the back plane.

Page 81 also states: " The drive will switch itself off in case of overheating. Ensure that there is an adequate flow of cool, filtered air into the bottom of the control cabinet, or use a heat exchanger (➜ Page # 35). "

(Also, I have seen installations where cables were routed over the top of the drive, preventing convection cooling.)

Refer to the AKD Installation Manual, Rev AA at:

https://www.kollmorgen.com/sites/default/files/public_downloads/AKD%20Installation%20Manual%20EN%20%28REV%20AA%29.pdf

Section 7.2 (page 35) states all temperature ratings for the drive.

Page 73 shows the path for airflow, and this unit does have a fan.

We do not publish component data, only that the drive is rated to perform as advertised under stated conditions.  If 24VDC is not present to operate the fan, or ambient conditions exceed what are stated on page 35, the specs of the drive must be de-rated as sated in the manual.
