Resolver replacement

Hello,

I have unknown 2kw synchro servo motor. There is probably some broken feedback which should be replaced with resolver(there is space for saving secondary feedback interface). I found resolver from TE  which I know to connect with servo motor. I want to run it with lastest fw and hw S346. Original resolver is obsolete and I can not to find exact replacement but only very similar one.

Is it posible to replace a wrong resolver to other one with very similar parameters without any special actions and after that did "setup unknown motor" procedure please?

If the replacement resolver is similar enough in characteristics, the S300 drive should read the signals without any changes to the drive configuration.

As for configuring the drive for an unknown motor: you need to know the motor electrical parameters in order to configure the drive properly.  It is possible to configure the S300 drive for a non-Kollmorgen motor.  Fill in the Custom Motor screen in the software with the data from the motor data sheet.

There is not some parameters for replecement one(like impedances etc...) from producer and original resolver are not more avaible. 

And for setup of unknow motor. I have just rest of id sticker from producer where is written effective revolutions = 2500 rpm and effective current = 5.5A

There is some procedure of unknown motor setup but I have not used them yet. If I understand right from help in DriveGUI, driver should somehow read neccesary parameters itself?
