AKM Temperature Feedback

A customer of ours wants to monitor motor temperature. The motor temperature under properties does not report a valid number. He only sees -32,768 degC as the temperature.

Motor feedback is SFD. Motor autoset is 'ON'.

Thermistor type is the default value 0-Single PTC Thermistor.

These are the motor and drive part numbers:

AKM51L-EKGNC-00

AKD-P01206-NBEI-0000

He bought the drive recently, only one month ago. He is running the latest version of workbench.

I could not get a snapshot email from him because he does not have email setup on his PC.

Maybe I am looking at the wrong parameter value. Please advise. Thanks!

The PTC thermistor does not support temperature monitoring in degC. It is a thermistor with a non-linear characteristics.  
To monitor the temperature, your customer needs a motor with an integrated KTY thermistor or you need to use an external device.
Please, refer also to the AKD documentation of parameter <MOTOR.RTYPE>, <MOTOR.TEMP>, <MOTOR.TEMPC>.
Please, get in contact with your local sales representative, if you want to replace the AKM motor by an AKM with integrated KTY.

Is there a table of temperature values for the standard PTC thermistor so that he can map the resistance to temperature externally?
