AKD x2407 External Dynamic Brake Resistor Selection

Can a 500W 25ohm external brake resistor be used with the AKD x2407 Drive instead of a 23ohm resistor?

23 ohm versus 25 ohms is probably within the resistor tolerance. (All drives have the regen circuit to utilize a specific resistance when the transistor circuit fires.)

This stated, I assume you are experiencing Bus Overvoltage Faults due to regen. How was it determined that 500W would meet your needs?

We offer the 25 ohm regen resistors in 600W, 1KW, 2KW, 3KW and 4KW. Please keep this in mind to ensure that the overvoltage condition is addressed now, and if the motion profile is altered in the future, resulting in the need for increased wattage.
