MOTIONEERING Application Engine Installation File Summary of MOTIONEERING v6.0.1 program and database changes from the previous version: • Add AKD systems with AKM, CARTRIDGE DDR, Housed DDR, and Platinum DDL motors. • Add EC1-EC5 and N2 electric cylinder systems with AKM and AKD. • Add R2A, R3 & R4 Rodless Actuator systems with AKM and AKD. • Add DS4 & DS6 Precision Table systems with AKM and AKD. • Add AKM32H/ S20660 (120 V) system. • Add capability of defining and sizing electric cylinder applications, including variable applied load. • Add formatted report generation with pdf file output for mechanisms, system specifications, search results, and power supply sizing. • Add capability of varying the thrust load for linear motor mechanisms from one motion profile segment to another. • Add capability to display and search only preferred systems or preferred plus legacy systems. • Remove product brand distinctions. • Rename GOLDLINE® DDR to Housed DDR. • Remove DDL ILH systems. • Remove systems with 6210/6215 stepper drive. • Remove all systems with CD drive including AKM, AKM gearmotors, DDL IC, DDL ICD, DDL IL, Frameless DDR, Frameless RBE, Goldline B and M, Housed DDR. ******************************************************************************* 2. MOTIONEERING software v6.0.1 has been tested for proper operation on the following Microsoft® Windows® operating systems: • Windows Vista Business Edition • Windows XP Professional • Windows 2000 Professional MOTIONEERING utilizes a Microsoft Access(TM) 2000 database and requires the use of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) to operate. These are not included in Windows 98 and will have to be installed if they have not previously been so by other software. If you get 'run time error 3633' or '380' when attempting to run MOTIONEERING, you will need to download the MDAC file: http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/mdac/default.aspx Operation on any operating system not listed has not been tested. Computers used for testing have hardware driver support for the CPU, video display, monitor, mouse and keyboard only. It is not recommended to operate this software on untested operating systems or versions. No support is available for operation on untested operating systems. Please be aware that installation of other software and hardware components may result in improper operation of this software. Since it is not possible for Danaher Motion to test all possible hardware and software configurations, you may experience operating difficulties under such circumstances. ******************************************************************************* 3. To install v6.0.1, download file "maesetup601.EXE" to a temporary location and double-click the file to execute the installation routine. This installation will not overwrite a previously installed 2.x.x or 3.x.x version. ******************************************************************************* 4. To uninstall prior versions of MOTIONEERING Application Engine, go to the program folder containing that version and run "Unwise.exe". WARNING: Project data created in that version will be lost unless it is first saved ("Exported"). ******************************************************************************* 5. To save project data from any version of MOTIONEERING Application Engine, first select (highlight) the project you wish to save. Then, from the "Project" menu option, click "Export" and choose a file name and destination file. For versions 2.x.x, projects must be exported individually. For versions 3.x.x and later an "Export All Projects" option is available.
