1. MOTIONEERING Application Engine Installation File

Summary of MOTIONEERING v6.3.0 program and data changes from the previous version:

A. New Product
Add DDL IC / S748 systems for motors with Ic > 24A.
  Add CARTRIDGE DDR C(H)13xB / S748 systems at 240V, 400 V and 480 V to replace S640 systems.
  Add AKM Gearmotor / AKD systems at 240, 400, and 480 V.
Add KBM / AKD and KBM / S700 systems for new KBM stack lengths.
Add Stepper Motors / P5000 systems.
Add Stepper Motors / P6000 systems.
Remove NEMA 17 72 Vdc system type with it's four systems.

B. Product Data Changes:
Update AKM peak current ratings (were 5x continuous; change to 3x or 4x continuous), peak torque ratings, and system peak performance curves.
KBM(S)-25x04 (all voltages) - update system peak performance curves for A and B windings.
For Linear Positioners, change the term "Force" to "Thrust" where it is used to indicate the axial force developed by the positioner. This aligns Motioneering with Linear Positioner catalog terminology.
Remove hyphen between drive ratio and drive lead in all Rodless Actuator model numbers.
Remove all hyphens from DDL coil model numbers.
AKD-x02406 - Correct specs to reflect three-phase operation only.
EC1 product - change specs and model numbers to reflect change of screw lead from 3.175 mm to 3.0 mm.
Change terminology "Acme screw" to "lead screw" throughout.
  Correct AKM83 encoder derate from 8 to 6 N-m.
KBM - update motor specs per the latest KBM catalog data.
Add coil thermal time constants to database Motors table for DDL IC, IL, and ICD motors.

C. Other Updates:
Add HIPERFACE sine encoder to the list of feedback selections on the search screen and motor specs screen.
Search screen - change shaft seal filter to a customization filter which includes shaft seal and washdown/food grade customizations.
Omit the "Ignore Motion Profile" feature from the Size System screen; now mechanisms with a motion profile may not be sized without the motion profile.

D. Bug Fixes:
Correct IL series DDL motor dimensions by swapping their 'b' and 'c' dimensions.
Correct DDL dimensions screen and report to reflect linear rather than rotary motor dimensions.
Fix error on electric cylinder search after motion profile has been converted to % duty.
Add validation of input data for load coupling, rotary disc, and rolls to prevent calculating and using an incorrect inertia value caused by OD<ID. The update forbids calculating results where input data includes OD<ID. This fix does not include the couplings added with reducers, which can still be forced to a negative inertia by incorrect data entry.
Linear Positioners - Change the method of storing standard stroke lengths from using min, max, and incremental lengths to simply stating a list of standard lengths. Since standard length increments are not fixed, the previous method could suggest non-standard stroke lengths in the results. With the update, only standard stroke lengths are suggested for a saved search result.
Fixed bug which caused motion profile to be ignored on a search without user input by simply adding a reducer to the mechanism. With the update, the "Ignore Motion Profile" checkbox is not exercised without user input.
Fixed 'Motion Profile Lockout' problem which prevents user from leaving motion profile screen to correct a mechanism maximum speed which is too low.
Fixed bugs which caused incorrect load:motor inertia ratio to be displayed in gearmotor search results, when searching both with and without motion profile. All mechanisms which could use a gearmotor were affected.
Fixed bug which caused incorrect speed and torque results for a DDE mechanism with reducer (though inertia was correctly reported) when searching on stepper motor systems.
Fix bug described as: when EnDat or incremental encoder feedback filter is selected on search screen, then feedback checkbox is cleared, the FB type remains in the combo box but shouldn't and it's derating is displayed (but should not be) on the system performance curve in the mechanism report.
Fix bug in which SFD selection did not (but should) invoke the encoder derate on running search.
Fix Mechanism Report bug which caused both standard and derated continuous performance curves to be plotted for drive systems sized with brake and/or encoder filter selected.

E. Known Issues Not Fixed:
Motion Profile screen: Thrust Force > 32766.0 on any one or more segments of a motion profile causes x-axis on the motion profile graph to be compressed to zero length, making the graph un-readable. The limit is independent of units used.

2. MOTIONEERING software v6.3.0 has been tested for proper operation on the following Microsoft
Windows operating systems:

	  Windows 7 Professional
	  Windows Vista Business Edition
	  Windows XP Professional
	  Windows 2000 Professional

MOTIONEERING utilizes a Microsoft Access(TM) 2000 database and requires the use of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) to operate. These have to be installed if they have not previously been so by other software. If you get 'run time error 3633' or '380' when attempting to run MOTIONEERING, you will need to download the MDAC file:

   http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/mdac/default.aspx

Operation on any operating system not listed has not been tested. Computers used for testing have hardware driver support for the CPU, video display, monitor, mouse and keyboard only. It is not recommended to operate this software on untested operating systems or versions. No support is available for operation on untested operating systems. Please be aware that installation of other software and hardware components may result in improper operation of this software. Since it is not possible for Kollmorgen to test all possible hardware and software configurations, you may experience operating difficulties under such circumstances.

3. To install v6.3.0, download file "maesetup630.EXE" to a temporary location, close all other Windows applications, and double-click the file to execute the installation routine. This installation will not overwrite a previously installed version. User must be logged in as Administrator, or have password access to an Administrator account in order to successfully install Motioneering on Windows Vista or Windows 7 platforms.

*******************************************************************************
4. To uninstall prior versions of MOTIONEERING Application Engine, go to the program folder containing that version and run "Unwise.exe". WARNING: Project data created in that version will be lost unless it is first saved ("Exported").

*******************************************************************************
5. To save project data from any version of MOTIONEERING Application Engine, first select (highlight) the project you wish to save. Then, from the "Project" menu option, click "Export" and choose a file name and destination folder. An "Export All Projects" option is available, which will save all projects to a single .exp file.
