Avoiding Motion Control Pitfalls
Successful motion control projects are built, first and foremost, on thoroughly understanding your application's machinery requirements and specifications. So the most common mistakes engineers fall into start with engineering details like the exact motion profiles or torque requirements of the application. But other challenges loom as well, including ineffective engineering processes, an ability to solve integration problems, project management and decision-making skills. Avoiding these pitfalls in your motion control applications will require both

S200 Drives and Digital MMC Controls Interface
for Compact, Flexible Servo Control Solution
The S200 servo drive family now includes an optional Digital Link interface module for connectivity to the Digital MMC family of controls, which itself has been expanded to include stand-alone controls from 2 to 64 axes and drive resident controls from 1 to 16 axes. The result is a cost-effect, compact and highly flexible performance servo solution that can share the same Digital Link network. Drive setup and control programming are seamless with PiCPro programming software, v17.0.

Increase Machine Throughput and Reduce Overall Package Size
Kollmorgen CT Series step motors uses less power than competitive step motor systems to deliver the same torque output, or use equivalent power to provide 25% higher torque output. The result is improved operating efficiency and increased machine throughput, with reduced machine size and operating costs.
CT Series step motors also allow the load to mount directly to the motor shaft, effectively reducing mechanical system costs by eliminating the need for couplings and load support bearings. High voltage insulation further increases reliability and allows the motors to be used with high voltage, high performance drives. Find out more>>
