Stainless Steel AKMH Series
AKMH stainless steel servo motors are engineered to deliver dependable servo performance in applications subject to frequent, aggressive washdown and strict hygienic requirements. With robust stainless-steel construction and IP69K protection, AKMH motors support open machine designs while helping machine builders simplify cleaning, system integration and commissioning.
Designed for Efficient Cleaning
The AKMH motor housing is designed to minimize flat surfaces, crevices and exposed fasteners that could retain moisture or contaminants. Sloped surfaces and sealed interfaces support effective washdown procedures and help reduce cleaning effort, contributing to improved machine availability and enabling use in open machine designs without protective covers.
Flexible Servo Performance
The AKMH series is available in multiple frame sizes and winding options to support a wide range of torque, speed and power requirements. This flexibility allows machine builders to apply a consistent hygienic motor solution across multiple axes while tailoring performance to specific application needs.

- Smooth, round 316L stainless steel housing for hygiene and corrosion resistance
- No external bolts, washers, fasteners or crevices that could trap contaminants
- Sloped rear cover prevents liquid pooling, even in vertical mounting
- EHEDG and 3A compliant hygienic design

SFD-M
With the integrated SFD-M device providing multi-turn absolute feedback, customers can expect positioning performance comparable to Hiperface® or EnDat® feedback—without added cost.
- Single-turn resolution of 24 bits and multi-turn resolution of 16 bits
- Energy-harvesting technology eliminates the need for battery backup cables, which eliminates costly setbacks from unplanned downtime due to battery failure, retaining absolute positioning information even when the system is powered down or during a power outage or shutdown
- Onboard memory enables plug-and-play parameterization of the motor to compatible Kollmorgen drives reducing setup time and enabling faster commissioning
