Kollmorgen integrated its Kollmorgen Automation Suite™ platform with the family of AKD servo drives in a single, compact package to deliver a new, powerful solution - the highly flexible AKD PDMM. The AKD PDMM drive package offers a high-performance PLC and motion control functionality and can be programmed via the intuitive Pipe Network™ graphical environment. As an integrated automation platform, the Kollmorgen Automation Suite is specially designed for high-performance applications where multiple axes must be perfectly synchronised. The highly developed motion control system enables the machine to achieve higher bandwidth and increased throughput. The AKD PDMM not only improves the machine performance, throughput and accuracy - it also provides machine builders with the flexibility to use a single drive platform within the same graphical development environment (IDE) for many different applications.
